OKPhotos.com: Wedding

For the price of what most people pay for wedding photos alone (and that is today's low "digital photography" price), OKPhotos.com provides both wedding photography and video. But not stopping there. We try our best to achieve top-level results, above and beyond what is available in this price range.

For example in late 2005, we invented our unique version of the wedding picture storybook, which we proudly called the Bixbook™ (as in big•picture•book). And instead of the usual 10x10 size, which is the largest these picture storybooks come in, we made it 13x19 inches. The result was a very beautiful, elegant, album, that takes your breath away!

In early 2006, our professional video equipments were upgraded so that we can shoot and produce WIDESCREEN-format video from scratch. Widescreen format look so much more like a Hollywood movie, instead of some home video shot with a little camera. And by shooting widescreen format from the beginning, the quality of the widescreen video is much much better than those shot in the old format and converted to widescreen in post production.

And then we make it into a movie, with a nice musical intro, a storyline, full coverage of the wedding ceremony from multiple camera angles, with as many as six broadcast-quality video cameras.

And the all-important spoken words at the ceremony are captured by one professional-quality wireless lapel microphone and one digital voice recorder/lapel mic which is not affected by any RF polution (one on the groom, the other on the minister/priest), and an on-camera microphone nearby as the secondary backup. For ceremonies with readers, another wireless mic is added to the lectern for them.

The reception is captured by one or two low-light video cameras, low-light being vital because reception halls are notorious for turning down their lights to the so-call "mood lighting". While many other videographers rely heavily on on-camera lights (which tend to "stun" their subjects), we rarely need our professional video light. But it is there just in case.

In early 2006 the number of interview/guest commentary segments were increased to three, for those who like interviews. And you specify how much and how "fun" the interviews get. Interviews really bring your family and friends into the wedding movie, by letting them express how much they like you and how lovely your wedding is.

We don't just "record" your wedding. At OKPhotos.com, we strive to be picture storyteller, wedding filmmaker, and also go to great length to produce the best images and sound technically.

Finally, OKPhotos.com is very easy and flexible to work with, be as interactive or as non-intrusive as you prefer. Some photographers and videographers insist on seeing you several times before and after the wedding day, while others don't even come to the rehearsal. Unless it was a special arrangement, we attend all ceremony rehearsals to check things out. You can email or call us any time, even on weeknights and weekends, even for the tinest detail you may have some question about, or just want to be sure. We like getting calls from our customers, because it means getting to know more about the wedding arrangement, which in turn will result in better wedding photos and video. We have customers whom we interacted with 15 or 20 times prior to the wedding day, and customers who prefered not to be bothered until the rehearsal. We are happy to work either way and always optimize the results by customizing our workflow accordingly. And we would never call you unless it is absolutely necessary, knowing that you are probably very busy with school, work, and the other aspects of the wedding.
